The World is moving faster day by day as the challenges that threaten our nation grow deeper. Whilst we can only control what is in our power, we see the current state of our communities as an opportunity, to assist as inspired by our Christian values to help build a better society. 

 

A better nation for the children, especially those raised in unstable homes who take to the streets to find role models. Others are stuck on social media, sometimes learning so much misinformation. Groomed to be a version of someone else, rather than growing to be the best version themselves. 

 

Recent years have not been kind to our nation’s healthcare system. Already understaffed, some healthcare staff are overworked and underpaid. Increase of various long term industrial actions with no end in sight. Patients are not getting the treatment they require due to lengthy waiting lists or unavailability of the professional needed. The vulnerable like the elderly, can easily be forgotten and not receive swifter and higher level of care they deserve. Already struggling during the winter seasons to heat the living spaces their pensions can barely cover due to the energy prices & cost of living, It’s time we do more as a society for the elderly.  

 

A lot of people are struggling to make ends meet, minimum wage isn’t enough to raise a family anymore, jobs are hard to come by and competition is fierce. Parents are working longer hours under increasingly stressful conditions. Depression is prevalent, mental illness & addictions amongst professionals are on the rise. These issues amongst many will not fix themselves, there has to be a unification of faith, genuine concern and practicality to help eradicate these problems. We pray & hope for a better nation with God, government, and the people.
